Recommendation of Cameron’s Staff Advisory Council led to the creation of the Cameron University Staff Awards in fall 2014. CU students, faculty and staff made these nominations. In order to be eligible, nominees must have been employed full-time at Cameron for at least one year.
“Cameron staff members have a tremendous impact on the success of our students,” McArthur said. “The new Staff Awards recognize outstanding contributions in key areas that demonstrate Cameron University’s commitment to the educational, cultural and economic advancement of the communities we serve.”
Belew earned the Staff Award for Excellence in Student Success, while Husak received the Staff Award for Excellence in Campus Stewardship and Stone earned the Staff Award for Excellence in Service.

These faculty members received the awards on Tuesday, April 14 to recognize their contributions to Cameron’s academic community.
“It is gratifyig to reward members of Cameron’s dedicated faculty,” Vanderslice said. “They are truly representative of the many educators who provide top quality education to Cameron Students.”
Argyros received the Bhattacharya Endowed Lectureship for Excellence in Research award.
Husak received the Faculty Award for Excellence in Mentoring Student Research.
Clopton earned the Adjunct Faculty Award for Excellence and innovation in teaching.
Robinson earned the the Faculty Award for Excellence in Service.
Stockman received the Faculty Award for Excellence and Innovation.
