My sister rescued a dog in very similar circumstances--seeing her sitting in the same place for three days. Dilly turned out to be a wonderful companion and beloved pet for my sister and her family. I have always been supportive of the Salvation Army because they genuinely use the funds donated to them to help others without siphoning off vast amounts of money for themselves like so many other organizations do. They also help people without making them cut through tons of red tape. Great story.
