At 6:30 p.m. Sept. 22in the Wichita Room, Omega Zeta Theta (OZT) held their token ceremony to officially recognize the addition of new members into the sorority.
OZT President Rachel Carlson explained why properly inducting new members is crucial towards the prosperity of their organization.
“The token ceremony is very important to the sorority,” she said.
“It is when we formally present the young women as our new members. We make a promise to them and they make a promise to us. It is their first step towards initiation.”
OZT member Kinley Fehring helped new members find their home at the sorority.
Once inducted, new members were given a rose by fellow Greeks from Sigma Tau Gamma.
