At 7:30 p.m. April 29 the Cameron University Concert Choir and Centennial Singers will present their final performance in conjunction with Walters High School Varsity Choir, Marlow High School Choir and Eisenhower Gentry Singers in the Cameron University Theatre. Cameron University Concert Choir will be conducted by Cameron Music Department’s Dr. Kathy Scherler and accompanist, Tom Willoughby. Doris Lambert will conduct the Cameron University Centennial Singers and accompanist David Anderson will play the piano. The concert will be divided into 6 sections in which each individual choir program will perform. “Each of the songs we will be singing are students picks from their personal playlists,” Scherler said. “It’s a reward to them for working so hard on all of our classical and 20th century literature. This is also the first time that they will be doing some choreography during their performance.” Scherler said the Cameron music department invited local highschool choirs to perform in an effort to recruit music students for the fall.
